The Challenge
Medtronic LABS runs a recognition programme where colleagues across country teams nominate peers who live the organisation's core traits. Generic survey tools made nominations hard to manage, review and report on each cycle.
The Approach
I built a lightweight, self-hosted nomination and reporting tool: Microsoft sign-in (OAuth with PKCE) with auto-provisioned accounts, a searchable nominee picker, duplicate prevention, admin team management, and dashboards for HR and leadership showing trends and winners per cycle, with CSV and PDF export.
The Result
The platform is live at awards.medtroniclabs.org, giving HR a purpose-built workflow from nomination to review to winners, owned in-house instead of rented as a SaaS licence.
